Terms of Use

Version 1.0 · In effect since October 4, 2026

These terms explain the rules for using Termoak, the service at termoak.com. We have tried to write them in plain language. Please read them before creating your account: by ticking the box when you sign up, you accept them.

1. Who we are

Termoak is provided by Ohz Digital SL ("Ohz", "we", "us"), tax ID (CIF) B56646771, with its registered office at García Salazar 2, 48003 Bilbao, Bizkaia, Spain. For anything about these terms, write to legal@termoak.com.

The full legal details of the website are in the Legal notice, and how we handle your personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

2. What Termoak is

Termoak is an SSH client: apps for desktop (Windows, macOS and Linux) and mobile (iOS and Android) and a command-line tool, plus a server that the apps can connect to. With a Termoak account on termoak.com (the "service") you can:

  • sync your hosts, keys, snippets and other settings between your devices;
  • open terminal sessions that run on our server and stay alive when you close the app, and share them with other people or teams;
  • use the optional AI features on your hosts;
  • use the web app at termoak.com.

These terms cover your use of the service and of your account. The apps can also be used without an account, or with a Termoak server that someone else runs (a "self-hosted" server): in that case these terms do not apply to that server, which is the responsibility of whoever runs it.

3. Open-source software and trademarks

The code of Termoak is open source, under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0), and published at github.com/TermoakSSH. That license governs what you can do with the code: these terms do not limit the rights it gives you. These terms are separate and only cover the service that we run.

"Termoak" and the Termoak logo are trademarks of Ohz. The code license does not give you the right to use them; see our trademark policy.

4. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • Give us a real email address that you control: we use it to confirm the account, to reset your password and to send you important notices about the service.
  • Keep your password safe and do not share your account. We recommend turning on two-step verification.
  • You are responsible for what is done from your account. If you think someone else has access to it, change your password, sign out the devices you do not recognize and tell us at legal@termoak.com.

5. Plans and prices

  • Free: free forever, it is not a trial. It includes the service with its limits, such as up to 3 server sessions open at the same time. The AI features work only with your own API keys from an AI provider.
  • Pro: coming soon. It will add priority support and Termoak AI credit (AI included, without your own keys).

When we offer paid plans, their price, what they include and their payment terms will be shown to you before you buy, and you will have to accept them expressly. We never charge you without your purchase. The current plans and their limits are on the pricing page.

6. Acceptable use

Termoak is a tool to work on your own systems. When using it, you agree:

  • to connect only to servers and systems that you own or that you are authorized to access;
  • not to scan networks or ports, try passwords (brute force) or attack, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to any system, including ours;
  • not to send spam or use the service to distribute malware or illegal content, or content that infringes the rights of others;
  • not to use our server as a relay, proxy or tunnel to hide the origin of traffic or to reach systems that you could not reach otherwise;
  • not to get around the limits of your plan or the security measures of the service (for example, by creating several accounts to get more resources);
  • to comply with the law and with these terms.

If we detect abuse, we may stop it straight away (for example, by closing a session) and suspend the account, as explained in section 11.

7. Your data and what you do with it

Your data is yours: hosts, keys, snippets, sessions, recordings, AI tasks and everything else you store in Termoak. You only give us permission to store, process and transmit it as needed to provide the service to you (for example, to sync it, to open the sessions you ask for or to share them with whoever you choose). The Privacy Policy explains how.

You are responsible for what you do on your servers through Termoak: the commands you run, the files you change and what you allow the AI or the people you share a session with to do. Keep your own backups of what matters to you, especially your private keys.

8. Shared sessions and teams

When you share a session, the people you share it with see what happens in that terminal and, if you give them control, they can type in it as if they were you. Only share with people you trust, and revoke the share when it is no longer needed. If you belong to a team, its owners and admins manage its members, and the members see what is shared with the team.

9. AI features

  • The AI is optional. It can make mistakes: read what it proposes before approving it. By default it only reads, and any change waits for your approval; if you choose a mode that runs changes without asking, you accept that it does so on your behalf.
  • With your own API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter or OpenCode), your requests are sent to that provider on your instructions, under its own terms and prices, which you agree with that provider.
  • Termoak AI (the AI credit of the Pro plan, when it is available) is provided through OpenAI.
  • In the desktop app's "This computer" mode, the AI runs on your computer and nothing goes through our servers.

The Privacy Policy explains what is sent to each provider.

10. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep the service available and secure, but we cannot promise that it will always work without interruptions or errors: there may be maintenance, failures or causes beyond our control. Server sessions can end for reasons outside Termoak, such as your server closing the connection.

The service evolves: we may add, change or remove features. If a change significantly affects a paid plan you have, we will tell you in advance.

11. Closing or suspending the account

  • You can stop using Termoak whenever you want and delete your account in your account settings (Account → Danger zone). Deleting it removes your data, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, especially the acceptable use rules, that puts the service or other people at risk, or when the law requires it. We will act proportionately and, unless it is urgent or the law prevents it, we will tell you why and give you the chance to explain or fix it.

12. Warranty and liability

The service is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those required by law. We are liable for the damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence. Otherwise, and as far as Spanish law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, lost profits or the loss of data that you could have protected with your own backups, nor for what happens on your servers because of the commands you, the people you share sessions with or the AI with your approval run on them.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights that consumer protection law gives you.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the service changes or the law requires it. We will tell you in advance, by email or on the website, before the new version applies. If you do not agree with it, you can delete your account before it takes effect; if you keep using the service afterwards, the new version applies. The version and date of these terms are shown at the top.

14. Applicable law and courts

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, any dispute will be heard by the courts of your place of residence. Otherwise, the courts of Bilbao (Spain) will be competent.
